Here, for your spending pleasure and my personal archive, are the best things I found for sale on the internet this week. Links included.
(1) Vintage Bauhaus Style Table
A perfect piece of furniture includes some element of chrome. Also $60 is just generally a great price. A tip for buying any old-ish chrome pieces— stock up on rust remover and chrome polish to make them look (almost) brand new (link).
(2) Antique Room Divider
Since we’re on the topic of furniture, this 1970’s room divider. Hear me out: room divider as a headboard. I have loved this concept since I saw it done by Harling Ross who is (was?) an editor at Man Repeller. See her apartment pics on this blog (link).
(3) Margiela Tall Tabi Boots
This one’s controversial but I did purchase these knee-high Tabi’s on the last day of the SSENSE sale. When I showed my mom she said she hoped I did not spend more than $100 on them. I spent $843. As a person with a design degree, I believe it is my societal duty to own at least one pair of Tabi’s and these felt like a good start (link).
(4) Isabel Marant Embroidered Mini Dress
As a palette cleanser from the previously mentioned centaur-looking boots, here’s the Isabel Marant dress I also purchased (link).
(5) Vintage Miu Miu and Prada Heals
Trendy slingbacks (90s Prada, Miu Miu kitten heals, classic Manolo) are in abundance on eBay and for much better prices than most other fashion-specific marketplaces (link and link).
(6) Simone Rocha Ribbon Earrings
Wow I love Simone Rocha so much! So much that I am going to make myself a bootleg pair of these earrings with ribbon from Papersource, a glue gun, and the fake diamond studs I got my ears pieced with in middle school (link).
(7) More Rocha
However I would very much like to have this dress in my closet. So much so that I would be willing to ignore the price and, close eyes, add to cart (link).
(8) Kartell Magazine Rack
The famous Kartell magazine rack. They’re all over Etsy and dupes are easily found. I’ve had my eye on a cream or black one for some while but have yet to pull the trigger. Here’s an Etsy link but I would also suggest checking Instagram via hashtags to see if any vintage sellers have one and would negotiate on price (link).
(9) And more
Another Kartell magazine holder. Imagine this one with art books or old copies of Wonderland, Oyster, and i-D magazine (link).
(10) 1985 Porsche Targa
And finally, I leave you with this Porsche on Bring A Trailer that is the exact one all over Pinterest. Drivability unknown (link).
